D.I.Y. Outfit Of The Day

Hey dolls,
Here is a cute look i made for date night with my hubby.

I made a mini pencil skirt with interlock stretch fabric in white. I also made the loose top with chiffon fabric in a pink and white stripe pattern. I was extremely nervous when cutting out my fabrics but i used garments that i had previously to trace as patterns. This made it super easy. All you need to know is the basics of sewing, which is how to use your machine and how to hem. Its also important to know the different types of needles to use with different fabrics.

I accessorized with gold fashion jewelry, knob earrings and a long chain with tiger pendant.

I am amazed and happy at the results of my creation. I topped off this look with a crochet braid hairstyle using marley hair. The sewing machine i used is a brother BM 2800 shown below. I recommend this machine or another brand close to it for easy use as a beginner.

I am happy with myself and what i accomplished making this outfit. Please leave your comments below, subscribe and share.

Dalton Cosmetics Brow Fix

So i have been gone for a while, but now i'm back.  Thanks to my readers and subscribers for sticking with me!
Here is my recent beauty rave, Dalton Cosmetics Brow Fix.
They sent me this product to try and i was indeed wowed. Here is an eyebrow tutorial of me using the Brow Fix to give myself perfect brows without a fresh cut.

I love the packaging, i think it is unique and stylish. Who doesn't want makeup that looks cute in their makeup bag, i know i do!
The dual end brow brush is everything! It is perfect for me because its all the tools i need in one to do my brows. The brush is also high quality and well made.
The eyebrow pomade is cream based and thick in consistency but not sticky, so it holds down my eyebrows smoothly and makes them the perfect shade, which is dark brown for a very natural look.
The color is black which is actually a natural shade of dark brown.

Brows on point :-)
This is officially my favorite brow kit! Its easy to use and last all day or until i remove it! If you have tried Dalton Cosmetics Brow Fix or any of their products, let me know what you think about it? Leave a comment below and subscribe to my channel here for more. :-)

Liebster Award Nominee

Congratulations to one of my favorite beauty mavens Beauty School Scarlet for her nomination for Liebster Award. I'm also elated that she named me as one of her nominees.
I do not blog everyday, or every week because of my crazy schedule but i do enjoy sharing my experiences with readers and other beauty obsessed gals like myself.
As apart of being nominated i was tagged to answer a few questions, so let me get right to it!

1. Who, what or where does your blogging inspiration come from?

My blogging inspiration comes from everyday life, basically if i am having a current situation that i feel others could benefit from by sharing then i will blog about it. Also fashion trends, my favorite beauty gurus and celebrities.

2. What is the best advice you have every received?

The best advice i had ever received was to always believe in myself and to never limit my abilities out of the fear of failing. This is definitely something that has always been with me throughout my life.

3. What motivates you?

What motivates me really is knowing the satisfaction i will feel when i have achieved my goals. It could be as small as doing a 30 day workout challenge! lol

4. What is your favorite T.V. show or movie?

I have so much! But now i'm all about scandal, it's just too scandalous!

5. What book would you recommend others to read?

Umm... I will have to get back to you on that one! Maybe in a blog post... wink!

6. What is your dream Job?

My dream job is one that lets me travel around the world, eat amazing food and model for talented designers and brands. I'l keep my fingers crossed that my dreams may come true.

7. What is your favorite food?

My favorite food is chicken Alfredo pasta with shrimp!... Now i'm pretty hungry!

8. What is your guilty pleasure?

Well, laying in bed drinking wine and stuffing my face with cadbury chocolates with almond nuts. I really should eat sweets because i will have bad breakouts, but its so good after a stressing day i can't help it. lol

9. What is the story behind your blog name?

I have changed my blog name quite a few times so for now i don't have a story really, I'm a trained teacher and when i taught a few years ago my students always called me 'Miss Berry'. I actually have two last names so i think they stuck with the easiest to remember. I liked the ring to it so i decided to use it for my blog.

10. What is your favorite drink of choice?

Well, if your talking cocktails its an apple martini! But then who am i kidding ... anything vodka or rum!

11. If money were no object, where would be the first place you would travel to?

I would take a tour of Europe starting with  France.

I enjoyed answering these questions so much! Thanks again Beauty School Scarlet for tagging me!
If you have anymore questions dear readers don't hesitate to ask or send me a tag! XOX

Bantu Knots on Tiny Afro

Hey loves,

Here is a quick hair style for your tiny Afro that's super easy for you to create. All you will need is freshly moisturized hair, hair elastics, hair gel, hair pins and a brush. If your a natural hair sis-ta like i am, you already have these items laying around so lets make use of them.

Its hard when your newly all natural and your going through the first two years of a tiny Afro. You hair is normally ninety percent dry all the time and shrinkage is a huge problem. Ladies all you have to remember is moisturize always, even daily if needs be. A spray bottle of water goes a long way when trying to tame your hair. Take a look at my Bantu Knot results by clicking the link below.

D.I.Y. Mohawk Hairstyle

Hey dolls,

I gave myself a challenge recently to recreate a hair style i saw in a photo. This look called the 'Mohawk' is quite edgy with that rock star look. In creating this style with my natural hair i wanted to add my own twist. This is why i incorporated a curly fro using Jazz Water curls from free stress weave.

This post is inspired by my wonderful #beautytalk ladies! Join us tonight on twitter for our 'Tuesdays #beautytalk chat' with amazing beauty talk bloggers and beauty experts.

Jamaican Mango & Lime Twist Out

Hey dolls,

I find myself trying new products to see what works with my natural hair. Mango & Lime locking wax is a 'Jamaican' brand product that i used with my twist out. I have short natural hair so in doing twist out i had to use a bit more product than i normally use. See my video below for the results.

D.I.Y. Glass Shelves

Hey guys,

So i needed shelves in my bathroom that were inexpensive and unique. I thought to myself 'glass shelves'! Imagine my excitement when i measured the length and width i needed to take with me to the glass store. My apartment is fairly new and apart of me settling in is creating new ideas that matches my personality. I absolutely love my new shelves and i cant wait to fill them with my decorative ideas.

**Prep Work**

**The Results**

These shelves can also be used for make up storage with is basically what i plan to do. Yaay Me!
